Praktijkdag
Als je drie werkdagen voor aanvang van de praktijkdag geslaagd bent voor je theorie mag je de praktijkdag doen. Tijdens de praktijkdag van de BHV cursus Engels oefen je de handelingen die je geleerd hebt toen je de theorie bestudeerde.
Deze handelingen zijn onder andere:
- Verslikking
- Verbandleer
- Stabiele zijligging
- Reanimeren
- Blusoefeningen met verschillende blusmiddelen
- Deurprocedure
Tijdens de praktijkdag wordt uitgebreid stilgestaan bij de theorie die je geleerd hebt. Omdat je je goed hebt voorbereid met de e-learning modules kun je tijdens de praktijkdag in korte tijd veel verschillende BHV-handelingen oefenen.
Time investment
14 days prior to the training day you receive access to our online learning platform Veiligheidsimpuls. Here you complete three preparatory modules (this will take you a maximum of 30 minutes):
- Your role as an Emergency Response Officer
- Fire, evacuation and the risk of smoke
- Emergency and non-emergency first aid
After the Emergency response officer basic training
The one-day training is focussed on basic knowledge and acting practically. During this day, the instructor will assess whether you have the necessary knowledge, perform the actions well and whether you meet the requirements to be a good ERO. When you successfully complete the training, you comply with the Working Conditions Act and as or then, you are deployable as an ERO within your organisation.
During the training day, the following themes are addressed:
- Safely entering a space and extinguishing an incipient fire
- Guiding an evacuation with suitable communication and means
- Providing emergency first aid
- Providing non-emergency first aid
Ater the training day you continue in our online learning environment Veiligheidsimpuls You regularly receive new topics to deepen and broaden your knowledge. First you dive deeper into the theory and subsequently you’ll receive a realistic scenario-exercise. With these scenarios you practice various emergency situations.
The following topics can be addressed:
- Fire + scenario: Fire drill or not
- The basics of evacuation + scenario: Evacuating
- Emergency first aid + scenario: Deviating symptoms
- Providing non-emergency first aid + scenario: What would you do?
